Reception

Our Reception Classes, ‘Team Lions’ and ‘Team Tigers’

We have two 30 place Reception classes, each with their own class teacher and assistant teacher. Children have the opportunity to free flow between the two classrooms and a shared outdoors, where they have a combination of child-initiated and teacher-led activities. We provide a safe and inspiring environment, rich in opportunities to explore and become more independent learners, preparing the children for the next steps in their educational journey. 

Learning Environment

Our learning environment facilitates child-initiated play and provides children with carefully planned opportunities which allow them to explore, create and learn through exciting, stimulating, interactive and accessible resources. We have a large indoor and outdoor space for our Reception classes.

Our Curriculum

• Reception Long Term Plan

Our curriculum is designed to be child-centred and is taught in a logical progression so that children are able to build upon prior learning. We ensure the content of the curriculum is delivered in an exciting, engaging way, based upon engaging topics which motivate and inspire all children. Our EYFS curriculum is followed and carefully planned to ensure the learning environment is one that is broad, balanced and progressive, allowing all children to achieve their full potential.
