Reading is important

Reading is a high priority in our school; it is important that children read a little every day and discuss their reading with an adult or an older brother or sister to help develop a wide variety of reading skills. Reading regularly and widely will help to ensure children become confident and independent learners.

Comments in their reading record will help our staff to move your children on, which maintains the children’s pace of progress and their enthusiasm. If you have any questions or concerns about supporting your child in these areas then please do come and ask – we are always here to help.
