Will Preston

Hello, my name is Will Preston. I am an art teacher at Scarborough 6th from college where I teach Fine Art and Foundation in Art, Design and Media. Before working at the 6th Form, I taught at one of the other schools in the Ebor Academy – Brotherton and Byram Primary Academy.

I have always had a great passion for the arts which was a big focus for me while I taught at a primary level and now in higher education.  I continue to paint in my spare time. 

I am originally from Scarborough, I then moved to Cardiff for my undergraduate degree in Fine Art and then to York for my teacher training. I was fortunate to have Mr Jolly as my mentor during my teacher training year and so was honoured to join the governor’s team at Braeburn.  

I am married with two young children and we are based in Malton. I still have family in Scarborough so spend many weekends and holidays in my old stomping ground taking in many of the delightful new coffee shops or grabbing an ice cream.
