Curriculum Subjects

Each subject within the National Curriculum has specific knowledge and skills that are essential to developing proficiency within that subject. The substantive and disciplinary knowledge is carefully selected and sequenced so that new knowledge builds on and is supported by previous learning. To support each curriculum intent (content), we consider the requirements set out in the National Curriculum and personalise this for our children and locality in line with our school vision.   In this way, we have long term and medium term planning that maps out the concepts, knowledge and vocabulary that is to be taught in each year group, lesson by lesson.
