Physical Education

Physical Education (P.E)

Physical education (P.E) is the planned programme of movement activities that takes place in lessons. At Braeburn, children practise specific skills and tactics as well as explore movement and sequences in gymnastics and dance. As children move through the school, they learn to join the skills together and apply them in small sided games. We also place a strong emphasis on learning to swim and with our own pool on site, our children quickly become good swimmers.

Our PE curriculum follows the intended learning and ambition of the National Curriculum programme of study. Through Physical Education, pupils at Braeburn have opportunities to enjoy, and succeed  in competitive sport and other physically demanding activities. Interests and talents are encouraged, giving children a positive outlook on fitness and healthy living for their future life.

Pupils have access to a range of enrichment opportunities as extra curricular clubs and competitions.
